June Currently

    Good luck with your last two days. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that my days go by nice and quick. Summer break needs to be here now. :)

    Cute blog! I too want to go to the beach so bad!!! I think all teachers should get a free beach trip every year. You just come back so refreshed! I found you through currently!

    Hi, I just read about your profile and I have some questions for you. We are changing over to the new CCSS next year and I have ordered some class sets of books and some student sets. I wanted to know was it possible to do guided reading and a novel study. Like a novel covered over 5 weeks and guided reading during the next 4?

      I would say so. Or you could do both at the same time. I would choose 3 novels on the same subject but different reading levels based on the needs of the students. Then, use guided reading to pull in nonfiction texts on the subject you chose.
